On 19 July 2024, H.E. Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, attended the opening ceremony of the 10th International Folk Conference, Małopolska 2024 in Myślenice (300 km to the South from Warsaw), at the invitation of Mr. Jarosław Szlachetka, Mayor of Myślenice. The event, held from 15 to 24 July 2024 at Myślenice Market Square, would feature a diverse array of cultural performances from participating countries, including Thailand.

A highlight of the ceremony was the participation of a group of young Thai cultural performers from the Art Association for Youth of Thailand. These young talented Thai dancers captivated the audience with their performances of Serng Bang Fai Isan, a traditional folk dance from Northeastern Thailand, and Nora, a dance drama from Southern Thailand. Their impressive display of Thai cultural heritage added a vibrant touch to the festival, showcasing the rich and diverse traditions of Thailand to the Polish audience.

Ambassador Urasa was invited to give a brief introductory remarks about the Thai group cultural performace. After the show, the Ambassador met and praised the young Thai group for their impressive cultural performace.
