On 24 June 2025, H.E. Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, attended the official opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Thailand in Krakow, held at the Botanical Garden of the Jagiellonian University. This marks the establishment of the first Honorary Thai Consulate in Poland, with Mr. Wiesław Henryk Żyznowski serving as the inaugural Honorary Consul.

The ambassador delivered opening remarks at the official opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Thailand in Krakow, highlighting the significant role of the Honorary Consul in safeguarding the interests of Thai nationals in southern Poland and in strengthening Thai-Polish relations across all areas, particularly in economic cooperation and people-to-people exchanges.

The event was attended by diplomatic corps and honorary consuls from various countries based in Krakow, as well as representatives from the local government, private sector, and academia.
