On 8 September 2021, H.E. Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Ambassador of Thailand to Ukraine with residence in Warsaw, met with Mr. Volodymr Mikheiev, Deputy Head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine (SSAU). The Ambassador was briefed about Ukraine's advancement in space technology. Both sides also discussed ways and means to promote bilateral cooperation on space technology and innovation which would enhance Thailand's economic development capacity such as planning and improving efficiency in agricultural sector, natural disaster prevention as well as human resource development in space technology.
