On 11 August 2024, H.E. Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland attended the

9th World Cup of Children from Care Homes (Hope For Mundial) to give support and encouragement to the Thai Youth Team from DCY Football Academy Foundation in Thailand, comprising 10 young footballers, who represented Thailand in this event held at Legia Warszawa City Stadium.

On this occasion, Ambassador Urasa was invited by the organiser to greet the spectators on behalf of the Thai team and joined the Team in receiving the Tournament certificate of appreciations from the Polish Host.

Prior to the event, Ambassador Urasa hosted a luncheon to welcome Mr. Uthen Chanakul, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Children and Youth Affairs, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, the Head of Delegation, as well as, team staffs and the Thai Youth Team on 9 August 2024 at the Thai Residence in Warsaw.

The Hope for Mundial is an association in Poland established to support children from care homes, aiming to provide opportunities to these children to showcase their talents in international competitions. This football tournament is the ninth world championship organised by the association, featuring teams from 26 countries.
