On 16 November 2017, H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Poland was handed over as a new Chair of the ASEAN Committee in Warsaw (ACW) from the former Chair, H.E. Ms. Patricia Ann V. Paez, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines, who was also the host of the handover ceremony. Attended were H.E. Mr. Peter Frans Gontha, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Mr. Vu Dany Dzung, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Ms. Nur Azura Abd Karim, Charge d’affaries of Malaysia. The Chairmanship of ACW shall rotate every 6 months, based on the alphabetical order of the member state’s name. Currently, there are 5 embassies of ASEAN countries in Poland, which are Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
