On 2 March 2017, Mr. Paitoon Mahapannaporn, Charge d’ Affaires, a.i., participated in the celebration of International Mother Language Day at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Warsaw. At the event, Mr. Paitoon selected a small part of the Thai verse to recite, that is,   the Verse of Food, and also provided a short explanation of it to the participants.

This verse explains how tasty Thai food is. It was composed by King Rama II, who is considered as the great master of Thai poets. The meaning of the recited verse is that Mussaman curry is so tasty that once any man tastes it, he will dream to see the woman who cooks it. Its taste truly hits his heart.

In the cooperation of the Embassy of Bangladesh, other embassies participating in the event   also included the embassies of Australia, Colombia, Indonesia, Philippines, South Africa, and Sri Lanka.
