Ambassador of Thailand chaired the G77 and China during the climate change talks in Bonn

On the occasion of Thailand's assumption of the Group of 77 and China Chairmanship in 2016, Ambassador Manasvi Srisodapol chaired the G77 and China during the climate change talks in Bonn from 14-26 May 2016.

The G77 and China comprises 134 countries from Latin American group, African group, rainforest group, small island group, like-minded group, arab group, among others. These Groups supported the chairmanship in the negotiation of developing countries' position on climate change in preparation for the entry into force of the Paris Agreement. The talk transpired in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere.

Thailand's chairmanship of the Group will continue towards the high-level global climate change talks to be held in Marrakesh, Morocco in November 2016.

The Thai team was supported by the staff from the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw.
