On 21 May 2016, Mr. Paitoon Mahapanaporn, Charge d’ Affaires, a.i., on behalf of Ambassador of Thailand, attended the closing ceremony of the 13^th International Choir Festival Mundus Cantus in Gdansk, Republic of Poland. Choir of Mahidol University was one of the 15 teams from around the world and the only team from Asia joined the competition. The team was led by Mr. Rit Subsomboon and Mr. Teeranai Jirasirikul, professors from Mahidol University. At the ceremony, the Thai choir was announced as the Gold award of the competition in sacral music and also the Silver award in Spriritual, Gospel, and Jazz. On this occasion, Charge d’ Affaires also discussed about the possible cooperation between Mahidol University and music academy in Poland.
