On 28 July 2024, H.E. Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, attended the final round of the WGP#1 Waterjet World Series 2024 in Ostrow Warcki. This jet ski tournament, licensed by Thailand, serves as a points-collection event for the world championship and saw participation from over 200 athletes from 30 countries.
During the event, the Ambassador, along with Mr. Parikhet Subsahakarn, WGP#1 Tournament Director, presented the license plate to Poland, designating the country as a venue for the world championship points collection. This European leg of the World Series will be followed by the next competition in the Americas, scheduled from October 10-13, 2024, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, USA. The series will conclude with the World Cup competition in Asia, taking place from December 12-15, 2024, in Pattaya, Thailand.
The Ambassador also took part in the award ceremony, celebrating the achievements of Thai athletes. Among the winners were Mr. Kasidit Teerapreateep, who secured victory in the PRO-AM RUNABOUT 1100 OPEN category, and Mr. Tanawid Molee, who won in the PRO SKI STOCK category. The Ambassador praised all Thai athletes who garnered various awards, highlighting their impressive performances in the tournament.
At the tournament venue. Ambassador Urasa gave interviews through the WGP#1 live broadcast inviting jet ski enthusiasts to travel to Thailand to watch the upcoming WGP#1 tournaments in Thailand in December this year. The Ambassador also gave an interview to Thai reporter, voicing her strong support for the WGP#1.
