On 29 January 2024, H.E. Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, chaired the first Full Meeting of the Team Thailand Excutive Committee for the year 2024 in Gdańsk. The Meeting was participated by heads of the Team Thailand offices and their members, which included (1) Thai Trade Center in Warsaw; (2) Office of Economic & Financial Affairs in London; (3) Office of Industrial Affairs in Vienna; (4) Office of Higher Education Science, Research and Innovation in Brussels; (5) Office of Customs Affairs in Brussels; (6) The Board of Investment in Frankfurt; (7) Tourism Authority of Thailand in Prague; (Representative from Office of Agricultural Affairs in Brussels (via online platform)).
The Meeting discussed Team Thailand’s integrated plans to promote closer relations and cooperation between Thailand and Poland, especially in the areas of trade, investment, tourism, education and culture. The Meeting also discussed work plans and activities for fiscal year 2024 and in preparation for the upcoming 3rd Political Consultation between Thailand and Poland scheduled to be held in Bangkok within the first half of this year.
After the meeting, Ambassador Urasa led Team Thailand to visit Port of Gdansk, the biggest cargo port in the Baltic Sea, and the Institute of Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine, an independent institution that conducts research and development in the field of biomedical, veterinary and material engineering. The study visits provided the opportunity for Team Thailand to learn more about Poland's economic and bio-research strengths and connected both sides for possible future cooperation.
