On 21 April 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw together with other 5 embassies, namely, the Royal Thai Embassy in Vienna, the Royal Thai Embassy in Prague, the Royal Thai Embassy in the Hague, the Royal Thailand Embassy in Oslo and the Royal Thai Embassy in Ankara participated in a webinar, titled "Europe-Asia Startup Day" organized by the National Innovation Agency (NIA).
During the opening session, H.E. Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland highlighted the Embassy’s efforts to promote startups cooperation and foster network between the Polish governmental as well as non-governmental organizations with the NIA. This was reaffirmed by Dr. Pun-Arj Chairatana, Executive Director of NIA, who also underscored the robust cooperation during these past years and the immense potential of Poland.
During the second session on ecosystem, Mr. Maciej Sadowski, CEO and Co-founder of Startup Hub Poland outlined the strengths both of the Polish ecosystem and the startups especially in the field of healthtech, genomics, biotech, agrotech, foodtech, cybersecurity and clean energy, while also emphasizing that the cooperation in these fields can lead to win-win outcomes for both countries. In the last session, HiProMine and Deeptrait – two leading Polish startups – participated in the pitching session and engaged in constructive dialogue with the representatives of Thai venture capital.
