On 14 February 2022, H.E. Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Ambassador of Thailand to Ukraine with residence in Warsaw, visited Union Muaythai Gym in Lviv, Ukraine. The Ambassador and his team were welcomed by Mr. Viktor Lazurko, President and Coach of the Gym.

Union Muaythai has been established more than 16 years, currently having more than 100 students, both juvenile and adult members who are keen in health building and professional boxing. The Gym has produced a number of national champions at different levels. As Lviv’s sole official member of Ukraine Federation of Muaythai and International Federation of Muaythai Association (IFMA), Union Muaythai is able to compete in the Federation’s official tournaments, as well as receive the government support in several forms. Located near Poland’s border, the Gym has an opportunity to participate in many IFMA-sponsored tournaments in Europe, and it pledges to support the Embassy’s activities in the future.
