On 10 May 2024, Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, met with Her Magnificence Rector Prof. dr hab. Bogumiła Kaniewska, Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, to discuss educational cooperation, including the possibility of an exchange programme between students and scholars and joint curriculum.

Afterwards, the Ambassador met with Prof. AMU Ph.D. Piotr Nowak, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Etnolinguistics, a faculty that offers a Thai language programme. Ambassador Urasa also met a team of Asian language instructors (Thai, Cambodian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Hindi) On this occasion, the Ambassador warmly greeted and conversed with Polish students in their classroom while studying the Thai language. Ambassador Urasa took this opportunity to inspire and encourage the students in their Thai language study.
