On 27 March 2026, H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador-Designate of Thailand to Poland, presented his Letters of Credence and Recall to H.E. Mr. Karol Nawrocki, President of the Republic of Poland, accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Poland, at the Belweder Palace.
On this occasion, the Ambassador held discussions with the President of Poland. Both sides expressed their readiness to further strengthen Thailand–Poland cooperation across various dimensions, including through the 1st Thailand–Poland Strategic Dialogue, which Thailand stands ready to host in Bangkok within this year. The President and the Ambassador also took this opportunity to exchange views on the current geopolitical situations, and reaffirmed that both Thailand and Poland remain committed to international law, the United Nations Charter, and the peaceful resolutions through dialogue and diplomacy.
In addition, the President welcomed the launch of regular direct flights between Warsaw and Bangkok in October this year, noting that it would help promote trade and investment, as well as strengthen people-to-people ties between the two countries.
Later, the Ambassador paid respects and laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, as part of the credential presentation ceremony.
