In the late afternoon of 9 September 2021, H.E. Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Ambassador of Thailand to Ukraine with residence in Warsaw, paid a visit to Ukraine Federation of Muaythai upon the invitation by Mr. Gennadiy Trukhanov, Mayor of Odesa in his capacity as the President of the Association. The Ambassador met with Ukrainians including children and teenagers who are interested and join Muaythai training as well as the trainers. The Ambassador underscored that they are all friends and goodwill Ambassadors of Thailand in Ukraine.

The Ukraine Federation of Muaythai was established 25 years ago and has served as a leading Muaythai training establishment which, over the years, has produced several Muaythai international champions. Apart from the sport skills, the trainers at the Association also immerse themselves in the Thai culture. As Odesa is considered the capital city of Muaythai in Ukraine, the Ambassador and the Mayor agreed to organize joint actitivities next year to celebrate both the 30th Anniversary of the diplomatic relations and the long-standing popularity and love for Muaythai in Ukraine.
