H.E. Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, had online meetings with representatives from Lin’s International on 24 March 2021 and with Study Wiz and Think Poland on 26 March 2021, all of whom are education consultation companies promoting higher education in Poland. In the meetings, both sides exchanged information on the education of Thai students in Poland, their livelihood during the COVID-19 situation and the roles of education consultation companies in promoting higher education in Poland to foreign students.
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for all education consultation companies in supporting the Thai students during their stay in Poland as well as in helping the Embassy to distribute food packages to all Thai students during the pandemic. The Embassy also invited the companies to provide useful information for the Embassy's ongoing student handbook and to participate in future consular activities regarding Thai students in Poland as well as future education-related event as part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Thai-Polish Diplomatic Relations in 2022.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, increasing Thai students came to Poland to pursue their higher education (in English), particularly in the field of medical study, thanks to the high quality of education in Poland, reasonable tuition fees and the accreditation of the university programs by the Thai Medical Council and the Thai Dental Council. Currently, there are about 200-300 Thai students in Poland.
