On 8 April 2021, H.E. Mr. Chettaphan Maksamphan, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, attended the first ASEAN Committee in Warsaw meeting in 2021 hosted by the Embassy of Malaysia together with Ambassador of the Philippines, Ambassador of Vietnam and Chargé d'affaires of Indonesia.
The Committee discussed the promotion of awareness about ASEAN in Poland by utilizing the celebration of ASEAN Day which will take place on 8 August 2021. To fully comply with the current COVID-19 preventive measures in place, the activities for this auspicious occasion will be conducted virtually. These activities include, among other things, the dissemination of a joint statement by ASEAN Ambassadors and a high-level message from the Polish side on digital platform and social media as well as online activities such as an essay competition or a photo contest which will allow the Polish public to participate and be a part of this important celebration.
