Ambassador visited the Medical University of Lublin

On 15 March 2023, Ambassador Urasa Mongkolnavin visited the Medical University of Lublin, where she met with Prof. Wojciech Załuska, MD, Ph.D, Rector and Prof. Kamil Torres, MD, Ph.D, Vice-Rector for Education and Didactics, Deans and Vice Deans of the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry, as well as members of faculty involving in teaching and providing educational services to Thai and international students.
Both sides discussed on how to promote educational cooperation between Thai medical universities and the Medical University of Lublin, especially in the fields of medical education, pediatrics, infectious disease, tropical medicine, and reconstructive surgery, as well as exchanges of educators.
During the meeting, the University’s executives praised Thai students for their hard work and devotion, satisfactory academic performace and their engagement with the local community through voluntary activities. Ambassador Urasa took this opportunity to convey her appreciation to the executives for taking good care of the Thai students as well as expressed her confidence that more Thai students will join the University’s programme in the coming years. At present, there are over 100 Thai students studying at this University.
After the meeting, Ambassador Urasa met with a group of Thai students currently pursuing their undergraduate degrees at the University. The students informed and shared their educational experiences and students' life in Lublin with the Ambassador. During the talks, Ambassador Urasa gave words of encouragement and advice on several topics to the Thai students, as well as reiterated the Embassy’s readiness to assist and support Thai students in their pursuit of academic success in Poland. Education has been among the Embassy's priority areas of cooperation with Poland.
