On 13 October 2017 at 10.00 hrs. H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of Thailand presided over the Buddhist merit-making ceremony to mark the one-year anniversary of the passing away of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Embassy.  The Embassy invited 4 monks from Germany to take part in the religious ceremony.  Over 60 participants who are officials and staff of the Embassy, Thai community and their families and owners of Thai businesses attended the ceremony.  At 10.52 hrs. (which corresponded to 15.52 hrs. in Thailand which was the time His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej passed away on 13 October 2016), participants contemplated their minds for 9 minutes and also prayed a chanting especially composed to pay tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
