Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw participated in the SHOM International Charity Bazaar 2016

On 27 November 2016, Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw, in coordinating with the Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM), jointly organized the SHOM International Charity Bazaar 2016 at the Marriott Hotel, Warsaw. The Bazaar is a charity event which are widely known among the local Polish. There are more than 5,000 people attending the event every year. This year, 56 diplomatic missions participated to raise money for 19 charity organizations such as Children’s Fantasies Fulfilled, Institute of Mother and Child Foundation, Prometeusz Foundation for the Elderly, Warsaw Hospital for Children and Salvation Army Poland. Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw participated in the Charity Bazaar. For this year, Thailand’s booth offered a variety of Thai products to name a few, decorating lights, silk neckties, silk scarfs, and home accessories. In addition, Ambassador’s Residence contributed Thai dishes comprising Pad Thai, steamed rice, stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts in sweet sauce and chicken green curry as well as Longan juice and Thai lemon iced tea, which received lots of attention. Participation in the Bazaar was a good opportunity not only to join in a charity work but also help promote Thailand’s image along with Thai products and cuisine in Poland as well as recognition towards Thailand among the Poles. At the event, Mrs. Agata Kornhauser-Duda, spouse of the President of Poland as the honorary patronage, also visited and shopped at Thailand’s booth where she was welcomed and introduced by H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand.
