On 28 September 2016, Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand hosted a dinner in honour of H.E. Mr. Chaisiri Anamarn, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand who led the Muaythai delegation from Lanna Fighting Muaythai Camp to participate in the Muaythai Roadshow project in Warsaw and Krakow from 28 September to 2 October 2016.
On 29 September 2016, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand presided over the opening ceremony of the Muaythai Roadshow in Warsaw at the Josef Pilsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw (AWF). Also attended the opening ceremony were Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, Mr. Grzegorz Pietruczuk, Deputy Mayor of the Bielany District, Mr. Mieczysław Bigoszewski, member of the Polish Olympic Committee, Mr. Przemyslaw Saleta, a famous Polish boxer, Mr. Rafal Simonides, owner of Muaythai Kingdom gym and coordinator for this event and Mrs. Linna Tangthasiri, Deputy Director-General of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand. There were approximately 150 participants attending the event.
On 1 October 2016, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand presided over the opening ceremony of the Muaythai Roadshow in Krakow at Com-Com Zone Sport Stadium in Krakow. Also attended the opening ceremony were Mr. Tomasz Urynowicz, Director of the Department of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Krzysztof Kowal, Director of Sports Infrastructure Administration in Krakow, Mr. Rafal Szlachta, President of the Polish Muaythai Federation, Mr. Rafal Simonides, owner of Muaythai Kingdom Gym in Warsaw and coordinator for this event, Mr. Dominik Rogoz, a representative of SIEMACHA Association and Mrs. Linna Tangthasiri, Deputy Director-General of the Information Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand. There were approximately 200 participants attending the event.
The Muaythai Roadshow project is aimed at strengthening the Thai-Polish relations through sports, particularly among youths, contributing to the Muaythai against Drugs Campaign, promoting Muaythai to become a truly global sport and preparing for the World Games which Poland will host next year in Wroclaw where Muaythai will become part of the official program.
