On 23-24 July 2016, a Thai youth team participated in the 4^th Football World Cup of Children from Care Homes at Legia Stadium in Warsaw which was organized by Nadzieja na Mundial (Hope of the Mundial) Association.  The Department of Children and Youth, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, selected 8 children from different Care Homes around the country to represent Thai team to play in this match with other youth teams from 26 countries. This event provided not only a good opportunity for the children to play sport and meet new friends from different cultures but also enable them to be proud of themselves to represent Thai team in the international sport tournament.  On this occasion, Mr. Paitoon Mahapannaporn, Charge d' Affaires a.i., hosted a warm welcoming dinner for them on 22 July 2016 and, together with the Embassy's officers, attended the match to give support to them. Thai team also received “Most Joyful Team” Award this year.
