On 22 April 2016, Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Jaroslaw Gowin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Science and Higher Education of Poland. 

 

During the meeting, they discussed prospects for strengthening Thai-Polish cooperation in education, noting that over 70 Thai students are studying in Polish universities and the numbers are rising, while universities of both countries are conducting exchange programmes. 

 

They also noted that both Thailand and Poland are promoting innovation in economic development and it would be timely to reconvene a joint committee meeting between the science agencies of both countries sometime in the second half of this year to identify areas of cooperation, exchange of experience and joint collaboration. 

 

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand also invited Deputy Prime Minister as Honourary Patron of the Thai Festival event to be held in Krakow on 4-5 June 2016.
