On 19 November 2015, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, met with Mr. Marek Szostak, Deputy Director, Department of Foreign Investment, Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ), to discuss and explore ways to encourage investment between Thailand and Poland. While taking into account that Special Economic Zones (SEZs) in Thailand and Poland can be an effective instrument to promote more investment between the two economies, they underscored the great potential of Thailand as Poland’s gateway to ASEAN and Poland as a gateway for Thailand to Europe. In addition, they also noted a major Thai public company’s interest in opening up a factory in Poland which would not only create new jobs but also innovation and exports.
