On 6 October 2015, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on Prof. Jerzy Duszynski, President of Polish Academy of Sciences and explored several areas of cooperation to further strengthen the implementation of Agreement between Thailand and Poland on the cooperation in science and technology, signed in 1996. They noted with satisfaction that there are a number of on-going cooperation undertaken between various institutes of both countries, including among the universities. As both countries attach importance to development of science, technology and innovation in their respective national policies, they saw the benefit of encouraging scientists from both countries to establish closer networks. The Thai Ambassador noted the openness of the Polish Academy of Sciences to foreign scientists and students, and that there is currently a PhD candidate and a Thai researcher working in the Academy.
