Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand presented Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn roses to the University of Warsaw Botanic Garden

As part of the activities to celebrate Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn 60th birthday this year which is being celebrated year round and nationwide in Thailand, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand presented the “Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn roses” to the University of Warsaw Botanic Garden, represented by Dr. Hanna Werblan-Jakubiec, the Director of the Garden.  The rose will be nurtured and cultivated at the Garden for permanent display as part of bilateral Polish-Thai cooperation in the area of rose breeding.

The roses, named after Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, representing the symbol of love for the Thai people, attracted a lot of interest from visitors to the Garden during the rose festival held over the weekend of 11-12 July 2015. 

The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand also explored with the Director of the Botanic Garden on the possibility of future cooperation in the areas of flower arrangements and displays.
