Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand attended the Commemorative Ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War 2 in Warsaw

H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Poland, attended the Commemorative ceremony to mark the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of World War 2 at the Piłsudski Square in Warsaw with H.E. Mr. Andrzej Duda, President of the Republic of Poland and Mrs. Agata Kornhauser-Duda, Spouse, presided over the ceremony. Leaders of various countries and representatives from more than 40 countries and more than 45 Ambassadors seats in Warsaw attended this ceremony. The ceremony consists of welcoming the Leaders to the ceremony, parades of Polish military and a speech delivered by President of Republic of Poland H.E. Mr. Andrzej Duda, President of the German Federation H.E. Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Vice President of the United States H.E. Mr. Mike Pence. After that, the Polish President and all delegates rang the “Remembrance and Warning” bell with the name of city of Wielun written on the bell. Wielun was the first point where Nazi Germany attacked Poland on the 1st September 1939 which was the beginning of World War 2 which killed a large number of Polish people. The bell was rang as a reminiscence of the events and deaths before everyone stands still to honour the soldiers / defenders that lose their lives protecting the motherland of Poland and a wreath laying ceremony followed by 21 gun shots of salutations to honour the heroic and heroines and those who loss their lives.

            Poland has honored the soldiers who fought and protected Poland that are still alive and invited them to participated in this ceremony as well.
