VISA APPLICATION

  • E-VISA APPLICATION

  • TYPE OF VISA
  • Polish/Ukrainian passport holders entitled to Visa Exemption are not required to obtain a visa when entering Thailand for tourism purposes and will be permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period not exceeding 60 days. Nationals entitled to Visa Exemption are eligible to enter Thailand without a visa through land border checkpoints only twice a calendar year. Entering international airports will not be affected by this regulation. Please note that the decision to grant entry permission to Thailand is always be taken by the Immigration Officer at the port of entry in Thailand. Where the period of stay will exceed 60 days or the purpose of the visit is not tourism, the person must apply for an e-Visa via https://thaievisa.go.th/.

Visa exemption conditions:

  • Passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of arrival in Thailand.
  • Foreigners entering Thailand under the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme must possess adequate cash of or equivalent to 20,000 Baht per person or 40,000 Baht per family.
  • Foreigners entering Thailand under the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme must provide proof of onward travel (confirmed air, train, bus or boat tickets) to leave Thailand within 60 days of the arrival date.

  2. Non-Immigrant ED (PLUS VISA, single entry)

 

DESTINATION THAILAND VISA (DTV)

1. ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS FOR DTV VISA

This type of visa is issued to applicants who are currently residing in Poland or Ukraine and wishing to enter Thailand for the following purposes:

  1. Workcation (digital nomad/remote worker/foreign talent/freelancer)
  2. Thai soft power related activities, e.g. muaythai, Thai culinary training and medical treatment
  3. Spouse and children under 20 years old of DTV visa holders

2. DTV VISA CONDITIONS (multiple entries)

Validity of visa is 5 years, multiple entries. Period of stay is 180 days per entry.

Extension of stay through the Thai Immigration Bureau: 1-time for a period not exceeding 180 days per entry. After the maximum stay of 180 days + 180 days needs to depart the country and re-enter Thailand with the same DTV visa within the visa validity date.

3. DTV VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURES

Please prepare required documents as follows:

3.1 Workcation (digital nomad/remote worker/foreign talent/freelancer, multiple entries

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
  3. Document indicating current location

    - Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her current residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency such as longterm or permanent residence in Poland or Ukraine (both pages) in case of foreigners; Polish nationals are required to upload copy of Polish ID card (both pages), Ukrainian nationals are required to upload copy of Ukrainian ID card card/national passport (both pages/all pages) .

  4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than 500,000 THB, e.g bank statements, sponsorship letter. It is recommended to provide copy of bank statement (in English or sworn translation into English) with closing balance min. 500,000 THB (or equivalent in other currency) for the last month (name of the account’s owner, balance and date must be shown).
  5. Employment contract or employment certificate in their country or professional portfolio showcasing digital nomad, remote worker, foreign talent or freelancer status
  6. Pay application fee online: 1,575 PLN (multiple entries), non-refundable.

3.2 Thai soft power related activities, e.g. muaythai, Thai culinary training and medical treatment, multiple entries

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
  3. Document indicating current location

    - Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her current residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency such as longterm or permanent residence in Poland or Ukraine (both pages) in case of foreigners; Polish nationals are required to upload copy of Polish ID card (both pages), Ukrainian nationals are required to upload copy of Ukrainian ID card card/national passport (both pages/all pages) .

  4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than 500,000 THB, e.g bank statements, sponsorship letter. It is recommended to provide copy of bank statement (in English or sworn translation into English) with closing balance min. 500,000 THB (or equivalent in other currency) for the last month (name of the account’s owner, balance and date must be shown).
  5. Proof of confirmation to attend the activity or letter of appointment from hospital/medical center.
  6. Pay application fee online: 1,575 PLN (multiple entries), non-refundable.

3.3 Spouse and children under 20 years old of DTV visa holders, multiple entries

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
  3. Document indicating current location

    - Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her current residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency such as longterm or permanent residence in Poland or Ukraine (both pages) in case of foreigners; Polish nationals are required to upload copy of Polish ID card (both pages), Ukrainian nationals are required to upload copy of Ukrainian ID card card/national passport (both pages/all pages) .

  4. Financial evidence: amount of no less than 500,000 THB, e.g bank statements, sponsorship letter. It is recommended to provide copy of sponsorship letter and sponsor's bank statement (in English or sworn translation into English) with closing balance min. 500,000 THB (or equivalent in other currency) for the last month (name of the account’s owner, balance and date must be shown).
  5. Proof of relationship to the DTV visa holder, e.g a copy of marriage certificate / birth certificate / certificate of adoption.
  6. Pay application fee online: 1,575 PLN (multiple entries), non-refundable.

Important: 

  • Consular officer reserves the right to request additional documents, or an interview with the
    applicant, as deemed necessary, without prior notice. The Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right to reject any visa application with insufficient documents or if the reasons given are not fully supported.
  • Documents in foreign languages must be officially translated into Thai or English.
  • Please note that it is not possible to apply for the visa via post. All postal applications will be rejected.

4. DTV VISA PROCESSING TIME

  • Visa processing time will take around 10-15 working days.
  • Certain applications which require special consideration may take longer to process.

5. REMARKS

  • Consular officers reserve the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary.
  • Visa processing fee is subject to change without prior notice.
  • Nationals of certain countries are required to apply for a visa only at the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home/residence country or at the designated Thai Embassy.
  • The applicants must provide genuine documents and information. If the applicants provide fraudulent documents or false information, their applications will be rejected and they may be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future.

Category ED

Non-Immigrant ED and Non-Immigrant ED PLUS

 

1 . ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS FOR ED VISA

This type of visa is issued to applicants who are currently residing in the Poland or Ukraine and wishing to enter Thailand for the following purposes:

  1. To study (elementary to secondary level), single entry
  2. To study (vocational, technical and university diploma below bachelor's degree), single entry
  3. To study (bachelor's degree and higher), NON-ED PLUS VISA, single entry (kindly see infographic at the bottom of this document)
  4. To study a short course (Thai or English language)/attend Muaythai training,
  5. To attend workshop, training or seminar organized by government agency or foreign mission and international organization in Thailand, single entry
  6. For monk, nun, priest to study dharma in Thailand, single entry
  7. Internship (Curricular internship), single entry

 

2. ED VISA CONDITIONS (single entry)

ED Visa is valid for a single entry for education purposes only.
ED Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Travellers must enter Thailand within the said 90-day period. They will be allowed to stay in Thailand for a period of up to 90 days, counting from the date of entry. During the 90-day period of stay, if they wish to leave and re-enter Thailand, they are required to apply for a re-entry permit (single or multiple) before departure. If they leave Thailand without a re-entry permit, the current stay permit shall be considered void. Extension of visa is possible. Those qualified may obtain an additional one-year stay permit, counting from the date of entry to Thailand. Extension of stay is at the discretion of the immigration officer. Extension application can be made at the Office of Immigration Bureau.

If the ED Visa holder breaches the entry conditions, the stay permit will be revoked and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future.

  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
  3. Document indicating current location

    - Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her current residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency such as longterm or permanent residence in Poland or Ukraine (both pages) in case of foreigners; Polish nationals are required to upload copy of Polish ID card (both pages), Ukrainian nationals are required to upload copy of Ukrainian ID card card/national passport (both pages/all pages) .

  5. Letter from the government agency or note verbale from foreign mission and international organization in Thailand.

3.6 For monk, nun, priest to study dharma in Thailand, single entry

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
  3. Document indicating current location

    - Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her current residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency such as longterm or permanent residence in Poland or Ukraine (both pages) in case of foreigners; Polish nationals are required to upload copy of Polish ID card (both pages), Ukrainian nationals are required to upload copy of Ukrainian ID card card/national passport (both pages/all pages) .

  5. Letter from National office of Buddhism.

3.7 Internship (Curricular internship), single entry

  1. Biodata page of Passport or Travel Document
  2. Photograph taken within the last six months
  3. Document indicating current location

    - Applicant must apply for e-Visa via specific Embassy/Consulate conforming with his/her current residency. Applicant is required to upload document that can verify his/her current residency such as longterm or permanent residence in Poland or Ukraine (both pages) in case of foreigners; Polish nationals are required to upload copy of Polish ID card (both pages), Ukrainian nationals are required to upload copy of Ukrainian ID card card/national passport (both pages/all pages) .

  6. Letter confirming the internship/participation in a program from the company/international organization.
