1. ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS FOR ED VISA

     This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for the following purposes:

  • to study in academic institutes
  • to visit on a study trip or observation tour, participate in projects or seminars, attend a conference or training course organized by the government agency, state enterprise, international organization, Embassy and Consulate
  • to study as a foreign Buddhist monk

 

2. ED VISA CONDITIONS

    2.1 ED Visa is valid for a single entry for education purposes only.

    2.2 ED Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Travellers must enter Thailand within the said 90-day period. They will be allowed to stay in Thailand for a period of up to 90 days, counting from the date of entry. During the 90-day period of stay, if they wish to leave and re-enter Thailand, they are required to apply for a re-entry permit (single or multiple) before departure. If they leave Thailand without a re-entry permit, the current stay permit shall be considered void.

    2.3 Extention of visa is possible. Those qualified may obtain an additional one-year stay permit, counting from the date of entry to Thailand. The extension of stay is at the discretion of the immigration officer. Extension application can be made at the Office of Immigration Bureau (visit www.immigration.go.th for more information)

    2.4 If the ED Visa holder breaches the entry conditions, the stay permit will be revoked and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future.

 

3. B VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURES

    3.1 PREPARE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AS FOLLOWS:

  1. Completed application form - to download CLICK HERE
  2. Passport with at least two empty pages and validity not less than 6 months from the date of planned entry to Thailand
  3. One recent passport-sized photograph (4x6 cm), taken within the past six months
  4. Copy of registration of residency of Poland or Ukraine if you are not a citizen of Poland or Ukriane
  5. Visa processing fee: 360 PLN (in cash only / non-refundable)
  6. Other required documents as determined by the purposes of entry as follows:

For those who wish to attend public schools (colleges, universities and etc.) must submit the following documents:

  • A copy of the letter of acceptance from the institute 
  • Letter from the institute addressed to the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw

For those who wish to attend private schools (colleges, universities and etc.) must provide the following documents:

  • Proof of current or previous education
  • Letter of acceptance from the institute
  • Letter from the institute addressed to the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw
  • Copy of the license to establish an educational institute issued by the competent authority or Private Education Commission
  • Certificate issued by a government agency at the level of department or equivalent or by Provincial Governor in charge of that particular institution (except in the case of enrollment in an international school or university)

For those who wish to attend a conference, a training, an internship or a course organized by the government agency, state enterprise, international organization or Embassy and Consulate must submit the following documents:

  • Proof of current or previous education, if any
  • Proof of current employment
  • Official note or invitation letter clarifying the purpose of travel from the concerned organization
  • Letter from the organization addressed to the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw

For private organizations and companies applicant must also provide the official registration of the companies.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • The document to be submitted for non-immigrant visa application is contingent upon necessities and appropriateness of purposes stated in the application form
  • In the absence of a required document, a letter explaining the unavailability of such document must be provided
  • Documents in foreign languages must be translated into Thai or into English
  • Nationals of certain countries are required to apply for a visa only at the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home/residence country or at the designated Thai Embassy. Therefore, travelers are advised to contact the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate-General to find out where they may apply for a visa to Thailand before departure.     3.2 Applicants must make an appointment to submit the above required documents in person with the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw. Strictly no walk-in applicants are allowed

  • Please note that it is not possible to apply for the visa via post. All postal applications will be rejected.
  • Applicants residing in Ukraine must submit their Visa applications with the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw.
  • Applicants may give written and signed consent to an individual in Poland or Ukraine to submit the application on their behalf.

 

4. VISA PROCESSING TIME

  • Visa processing time will take around 10-15 working days.
  • Certain applications which require special consideration may take longer to process.
  • Successful applicants may collect their passports at the Embassy or choose to have their passports sent to them via post (if this option is chosen, an envelop and postage fee must be provided upon application submission). 

 

5. REMARKS

  • Consular officers reserve the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary.
  • Visa processing fee is subject to change without prior notice.
  • Nationals of certain countries are required to apply for a visa only at the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home/residence country or at the designated Thai Embassy.
  • The applicants must provide genuine documents and information. If the applicants provide fraudulent documents or false information, their applications will be rejected and they may be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future.
