On 4 September 2024, H.E. Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, along with the representatives from Thailand, including Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Udon Thani Province, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Department of Agriculture, and Thai private sectors, delivered remarks on the occasion of the Thai delegation's presentation on the preparations for the hosting of “Expo 2026 Udon Thani” (B International Horticultural Expo) and “Korat Expo 2029” (A1 World Horticultural Expo) at the 76th International Association of Horticultural Producers (AIPH) Annual Congress at Radisson Collection Hotel Warsaw.

For Udon Thani, the Province will host “Expo 2026 Udon Thani” from 1 November 2026 to 14 March 2027 under the theme “Garden of Mekong: Diversity of Life”, showcasing biodiversity in wetlands, exchanging knowledge in tropical herbal medicine, rare plants, as well as horticultural technology and innovation that support sustainability. As for Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), the Province will host “Korat Expo 2029” from 10 November 2029 to 28 February 2030 under the theme “Nature and Greenery: Envisioning the Green Future”, presenting wonders of nature, horticultural diversities and Thailand’s expertise in horticulture technology and sustainable agriculture.

In addition, on 3 September 2024, Ambassador Urasa hosted dinner in honour of the Thai delegation, jointly led by Mrs. Nichapa Yoswee, Senior Vice President of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Mr. Wanchai Kongkasame, Governor of Udon Thani Province, Mr. Chaiwat Chuenkosum, Governor of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, and Dr. Pongthai Thaiyothin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Agriculture, at the Thai Residence. The Thai delegations briefed the Ambassador on the preparations and readiness in hosting the two expos. They also exchanged ideas on strengthening people-to-people relations between Thailand and Poland.
