Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand visit Poland to co-chair the Polish-Thai Political Consultation during 17-19 September 2018

During 17-19 September 2018, H.E. Mr. Virasakdi Futrakul, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand visited Poland as the Head of Thai Delegation and a co-chair in the Political Consulation between Poland and Thailand. The Polish-Thai Political Consulation was hosted and co-chaired by H.E. Mr. Bartosz Cichocki, Deputy Minister of Forerign Affairs of the Republic of Poland on 18 September 2018 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland. Attended was also H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Poland. They discussed on how to further promote the bilateral trade with more varities of products, economic potentials and opportunities to enhance more investment between the two countries, considering Poland and Thailand as ‘twin brothers’ with the shared strategic location in the respective regions and the same economic strength in agricultural and food manufacturing sectors.  Besides, they agreed that Poland and Thailand should strengthen more cooperation in vairous sectors such as defence, science and technology, tourism and education, as well as elevate the bilateral meeting to the Minister’s level through the existing mechanism of ‘Strategic Dialogue’ which has been established since 2013.
