On 12 January 2018, H.E. Mrs. Sansanee Sahussarungsi, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, attended the New Year Reception for the Ambassadors of the Asia – Pacific Countries hosted by Mr. Marek Magierowski, Undersecretary of State for Asia – Pacific Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland, at the Asia-Pacific Museum in Warsaw. The event was participated by Ambassadors from many countries, for instance, ASEAN, China, Republic or Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

In his remarks, Undersecretary Magierowski stressed that Poland had attached the importance to promoting ties with the Asia-Pacific region. Presently Poland had bilateral Political Consultations with almost all Asia – Pacific countries. He would also urge the new Foreign Minister to continue to place greater focus on this region. On this occasion, Ambassador of China to Poland, as Dean of Asia-Pacific Diplomatic Corps, expressed thanks to the Polish side for organizing this New Year event and for kind cooperation throughout the past year.
