On 29 December 2016, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland hosted a diplomatic lunch at the Ambassador’s Residence in honour of H.E. Mr. Sung-joo Choi, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea and spouse, who have just arrived in Poland in November 2016, together with Ambassador of the Philippines, Malaysia and Bangladesh. Among other participants are Mr. Andrzej Chodkowski, Main Inspector, Main Inspectorate for Plant Health and Seed Inspection and Mrs. Magdalena Józefecka, Director of Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as well as the representatives from a Thai Company in Poland and the Polish business sector. This gathering provided a good opportunity to discuss with the Polish side on the rules and regulations in relation to the import of Thai agricultural and food products to Poland where its market is growing with interesting demands, particularly during the winter time when its agricultural productivity is limited. Meanwhile, Poland is also interested to export apples to Thailand and much more to ASEAN countries, of which Ambassador of Thailand reiterated that ASEAN-EU Free Trade Area would significantly enhance economic relations and trade between the two regions.
