On 27 July 2015, H.E. Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand paid a courtesy call on Mr. Bogusław Kośmider, Chairman of the Krakow City Council, during which they also explored ways to promote further trade, investment, education and cultural relations between Thailand and Poland in Krakow.  The Chairman also informed the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand about the environment and expansion of investment in Krakow which also includes major investments from Asia, hoping to use Krakow as a production base and entry to the European Union Market and Eastern Europe.

While in Krakow, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand also presided over the opening of a seminar, co-organized for the first time by the Royal Thai Embassy and the Polish-Thai Foundation, on administrative matters relating to foreign nationals in Poland, including Thais, such as the legalization of stay, mixed marriages, status of children, basic tax issues, social insurance, forms of employment and healthcare.  Mr. Bogusław Kośmider, Chairman of the Krakow City Council and Mr. Rafal Schlachta, President of the Polish-Thai Foundation also kindly delivered opening remarks at the session.  The session proved to be highly informative and beneficial for Thai people in Poland.  The Royal Thai Embassy anticipates that such information session may be organized in other Polish cities should there be an interest.  Such information will be made available in the Royal Thai Embassy’s website and facebook page as part of the Embassy’s consular work pursuant to the Government’s policy.
