On 13 - 14 June 2015, a Thai youth football team from Mercy Centre in Thailand participated in the 3rd Football World Cup of Children from Care Homes at Legia Stadium, Warsaw, organized by Nadzieja na Mundial (Hope for Mundial) Association.

On this occassion, Mr. Manasvi Srisodapol, Ambassador of Thailand together with officers from the Embassy attended the event in order to give support to the team, and on 12 June 2015 the Ambassador hosted dinner for the team at his Residence.

Participation in this Football World Cup not only enabled the children from disadvantaged backgrounds, for the first time, to be exposed to new environment in a foreign country, but also gave them an opportunity to make friends with children of similar backgrounds from other participating countries.
