On 5 December 2014, Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw celebrated the 87^th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand at Sheraton Hotel, Warsaw, to express our gratitude and promote the image of Thailand in Poland. More than 300 people attended the event included Polish high-level officers, friends of Thailand, diplomatic corp, and Thai community in Poland. In the opening remarks, H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag mentioned His Majesty’s dedication to the wellness of Thai people and the recent Thai-Polish relations.

At the event, there were also the exhibition in honour of His Majesty the King about the work of His Majesty to develop the lives of Thais, and the orchid exhibition nicely arranged to present the beauty of Thai orchids to promote the image of Thailand and to support the export of Thai orchids abroad. In addition to the orchid exhibition, Royal Thai Embassy received a good cooperation from the Thai Airways International who sponsored amount of Thai orchids presenting to the guests to show our appreciation for their attendance, together with some brochure about Thai orchids published by Department of International Trade Promotion.  

In addition, Royal Thai Embassy in association with Thai restaurants in Warsaw, namely, Basil&Lime, Natara, and Suparom, had contributed Thai food to the event to promote Thai cuisine in Poland, together with some Singha beer by Boon Rawd Brewery Co., Ltd. As Thai cuisine has increasingly attracted many Poles, it was a good opportunity to promote Thai food following the Thai Food to World policy.
