On 27-28 June 2014, Mr. Paitoon Mahapannaporn, Minister-Counsellor, participated in the press conference and presided over the opening ceremony of the art exhibition “Proximity” (the exhibition which showcases artworks only by Thai artists) in 10th inSPIRACJE Festival in Szczecin. There were 9 Thai artists who were selected by Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) to take part in this festival namely Mr. Pathompon Tesprateep, Mr. Pan Pan Narkprasert, Mr. Preechaya Siripanich, Ms. Kawita Vatanajyankur, Mr. Taiki Sakpisit, Mr. Tul Suwannakit, Mr. Viriya Chotpanyavisut, Mr. Ukrit Sa-nguanhai and Mr. Arnont Nongyao, led by Ms. Pichaya Suphavinij, Head of Exhibition Department, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.
On this occasion, the Minister-Counsellor also explained to the audience who were at the opening ceremony that the current situation in Thailand has returned to normalcy. Tourists from Poland can travel to the country without worrying about their personal security and safety. Thailand is now during the process to move forward towards a fully functioning and sustainable democracy.
The Exhibition is held at the National Museum in Szczecin from 28 June until 7 July 2014. The theme is to present the cultural contrast and similarities between Thailand and Poland. The project is the collaboration between 13Muz Culture Institute in Szczecin and BACC and later in 2015 Polish artists will have their works exhibited at the BACC.
