On 5 December 2013, H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Poland, on behalf of the Royal Thai Embassy hosted a reception on the occasion of the 86^th Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej and Thai National Day at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Warsaw. The guests were Thai communities in Poland, members of diplomatic corps, and other distinguished persons from wide ranges of Polish organizations such as members of Parliament, representatives from Polish authorities, business sectors, journalists as well as academics from various fields of study. The estimated numbers of guests were 350 persons.  

At the reception, guests were able to view video presentations and standing exhibitions concerning H.M. the King and His Majesty’s contribution to the Thai – Polish Relations. The speech regarding H.M. the King’s lifelong dedication for his people delivered by H.E. Mr. Bansarn Bunnag, the Ambassador of Thailand, also received many attention and interest from the guests. Furthermore, many activities were presented in order to promote Thai tradition and culture, for example a photograph exhibition under the name “Thailand through Polish Eyes”, video presentation of the prosperity of Thailand, Thai food corners organized by Thai restaurants in Warsaw and Thai cooking as well as fruit and vegetables carving were also demonstrated during this special event.
