On 27 May 2013, H.E. Mr. Jullapong Nonsrichai, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over a ceremony to grant financial support to the Good Deed Foundation (Fundacji Zacny Uczynek) for a total amount of 4,960PLN (approx. 49,600THB). The Foundation was represented by Mr. Roman Zelazny, Chairman of the Foundation. The ceremony took place at the Residence of the Ambassador of Thailand to Poland. It symbolizes and promotes relations between Thailand and Poland especially in terms of social and cultural aspects, as well as creates awareness of Thailand’s constructive role in supporting values of doing good deeds and that Thai Government puts great emphasis on societal responsibility.
The foundation was established in 2005 by Mr. Roman Zelazny. The foundation’s basic objectives are to work for democracy, rule of law and civil society, human rights and freedoms, ethic standards, the ideals of solidarity, liberalism, philanthropy, humanism, integration of individuals and social groups. The foundation also promotes cultural, educational activities, and work to combat unemployment. In 2011, the foundation presented Good Deed Award to Mrs. Sangduen Chailert, a Thai national who established the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai.
