On 3–4 April 2024, H.E. Mrs. Urasa Mongkolnavin, Ambassador of Thailand to Poland, led the Consular Section of the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw to conduct the first 2025 Mobile Consular Project in Wrocław. The initiative aimed to facilitate essential consular services to Thai nationals residing in Wrocław and nearby areas. The services included passport applications, ID card renewals, legalisation, birth registrations, and consular consultations.

In addition, the Embassy took this opportunity to engage with members of the Thai community, including Thai chefs and massage therapists working in Wrocław. The Ambassador and the consular team gave advice on working in Poland, as well as boosted morale among these Thai nationals who come to work so far away from their home and family in Thailand.

During the same visit, the Ambassador, accompanied by the Director of the Thai Trade Center in Warsaw, presented the prestigious Thai SELECT certificates to ‘Woo Thai Restaurant’ and ‘Woo Thai Street Food’. The certificates were received by Mr. Bartosz Jędrasiak, owner of the restaurant, and Mr. Buratad Wiriyakunakorn, chef at Woo Thai Restaurant. The Thai SELECT certification, awarded by Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce, signifies excellence in authentic Thai cuisine and service of Thai restaurants in Thailand and overseas.

Furthermore, the Ambassador hosted a Thai lunch for Professor Kazimierz Pawlak, Vice-Rector for Foreign Cooperation and Promotion in Wroclaw, and Assistant Professor Małgorzata Kaczmarska from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts. The meeting focused on strengthening artistic and academic cooperation between Thailand and Poland, including discussions on a draft Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Burapha University and the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts, as well as future joint activities between the two institutions.
