1. ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS FOR O VISA

    This type of visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter Thailand for the following purposes:

  1. to stay after retirement for the elderly 
  2. to stay with the family (spouse, children, adopted child) 
  3. to receive medical treatment 
  4. to perform duties for the state enterprise or social welfare organizations
  5. to be a sport coach as required by Thai Government
  6. to be a contestant or witness for the judicial process 
  7. to visit Thailand (applicable to only those who ever hold Thai nationality before) 

2. O VISA CONDITIONS

    2.1 At present, O Visa is valid for a single entry only.

    2.2 O Visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Travellers must enter Thailand within the said 90-day period. They will be allowed to stay in Thailand for a period of up to 90 days, counting from the date of entry. During the 90-day period of stay, if they wish to leave and re-enter Thailand, they are required to apply for a re-entry permit (single or multiple) before departure. If they leave Thailand without a re-entry permit, the current stay permit shall be considered void.

    2.3 Extention of visa is possible. Those qualified may obtain an additional one-year stay permit, counting from the date of entry to Thailand.     2.4 If the O Visa holder breaches the entry conditions, the stay permit will be revoked and he/she will be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future.

 

3. O VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURES

    3.1 PREPARE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AS FOLLOWS:

  1. Completed application form - to download CLICK HERE
  2. Passport with at least two empty pages and validity not less than 6 months from the date of planned entry to Thailand
  3. One recent passport-sized photograph (4x6 cm), taken within the past six months
  4. Copy of registration of residency of Poland or Ukraine if you are not a citizen of Poland or Ukriane
  5. Visa processing fee: 360 PLN (in cash only / non-refundable)
  6. Other required documents as determined by the purposes of entry as follows:
  • For retirees aged 50 and over ("O" Retirement):
    • Proof of monthly income, e.g. retirement pension, interest earning or dividends, etc. of not less than 4,500 PLN per month for single-entry 
    • If the pension is lower than required a copy of bankbook with the remaining balance of at least €5,000
    • Health insurance policy document for the entire intended period of stay in Thailand with the following coverage:
      • Outpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 40,000 THB or 1,300 EUR, and
      • Inpatient benefit with a sum insured of not less than 400,000 THB or 13,000 EUR.
  • For those who need to stay with family:
    • Evidence of adequate finance (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family)
    • Proof of family relationship , e.g. copy of birth certificate, certificate of marriage, registration of legitimate child, household registration certificate, adoption certificate, or other evidence issued by the competent authorities or government agency
    • Proof of Thai nationality of family member (copy of passport, ID card and household registration certificate)
  • For those who are married to a Thai citizen:
    • Copy of marriage certificate
    • Proof of Thai nationality of spouse (copy of passport, ID card and household registration certificate)
    • Proof of income, either party or both must have a total income of not less than 4,500 PLN per month. If the foreigner does not have the minimum income per above, he shall have an account deposit in Thailand in the name of either party or both of not less than 400,000 Baht. Proof of account deposit for the previous 3 months is required.
  • For those who perform duties for the state enterprise or volunteer (unpaid) with social welfare organizations (Public Charity organizations)
    • Evidence of adequate finance (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family)
    • Confirmation letter and request from head or the authorized officer of that organization
    • Confirmation letter from the organization addressed to the Royal Thai Embassy 
    • Copy of operation license issued by the competent authority
    • Proof of the applicant’s education and work experience
  • For those who will be a contestant or witness for the judicial process
    • Evidence of adequate finance (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family)
    • Proof of involvement in litigation or judicial proceedings as complainant, the aggrieved party, accused, plaintiff, defendant
    • Confirmation letter from the inquiry officer in charge of the case or official letter or document from the authority concerned indicating that the applicant is involved in a case judicial proceeding
  • For those who will receive medical treatment or look after a patient:
    • Evidence of adequate finance (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family)
    • Confirmation letter and request from the physician responsible for the treatment
    • In case of looking after a patient, confirmation and request has been made by the physician responsible for the treatment

    3.2 Applicants must make an appointment to submit the above required documents in person with the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw. Strictly no walk-in applicants are allowed

  • Please note that it is not possible to apply for the visa via post. All postal applications will be rejected.
  • Applicants residing in Ukraine must submit their Visa applications with the Royal Thai Embassy in Warsaw.
  • Applicants may give written and signed consent to an individual in Poland or Ukraine to submit the application on their behalf.

 

4. VISA PROCESSING TIME

  • Visa processing time will take around working 10-15 days.
  • Certain applications which require special consideration may take longer to process.
  • Successful applicants may collect their passports at the Embassy or choose to have their passports sent to them via post (if this option is chosen, an envelop and postage fee must be provided upon application submission). 

 

5. REMARKS

  • Consular officers reserve the right to request additional documents as deemed necessary.
  • Visa processing fee is subject to change without prior notice.
  • Nationals of certain countries are required to apply for a visa only at the Thai Embassy or Consulate-General in their home/residence country or at the designated Thai Embassy.
  • The applicants must provide genuine documents and information. If the applicants provide fraudulent documents or false information, their applications will be rejected and they may be prohibited from entering Thailand in the future.
